Location and Access
The port of Valparaíso is located in central Chile, 33° 01'33 " S latitude and 71º 38'22" W longitude, 69.5 miles northwest of the capital of the country, Santiago.
Due to its location, the port of Valparaiso is fundamental and crucial in service delivery since the central zone holds more than 50% of the population and economic activity of the country.
Located on the west coast of Chile, Valparaiso is the nearest port (only 126.76 miles away) to Los Libertadores road pass, which is the main communication path through the Andes between Chile and Argentina. This feature is directly linked to MERCOSURs market appeal, becoming a point of entry and exit of cargo to and from the Pacific Rim.
Currently, all cargo in charge of TPS goes through South Access which connects to the Logistic Support Extension Zone - ZEAL.
ZEAL is located on the South Access of Valparaiso. It is connected through road "La Pólvora" directly to Route CH-68 nearby Placilla. Therefore, all transport to the port of Valparaiso and the rest of the country will maintain its fluidity avoiding congestion on transit routes in the city of Valparaiso.
