Our Terminal

Terminal Pacífico Sur Valparaíso, is a private company engaged in the administration of Berthing Facility No. 1 of the Port of Valparaíso, under the Concession Contract of Terminal 1, valid from 1 January 2000 to 31 December 2029.

The Port of Valparaíso is located at an unbeatable natural location, protected from the SW swells and winds. These conditions facilitate an uninterrupted operation almost all year round.

World class safety 
TPS has an Integrated Policy for the Protection of the Port facility, Environment, Safety and Health at Work. TPS also has a Management System for Safety and Health at Work implemented under the ISO 45.001:2018 Standard and adheres to strictest standard in safety matters related to people and facilities. 

Operational efficiency 
Throughout our history, since the year 2000, TPS have reached the highest transfer TEUs for Valparaíso in some recent periods, thus strengthening the importance of the port activity in the region.   
TPS is a high efficiency Terminal regarding the TEUs moved and staking surface, which locates us among the most competitive in the world, surpassing by far ports in Asia, Europe and North America.

The dynamics of foreign trade by sea require a quick adaptation skill to the industry changes; therefore, TPS nurtures a culture of flexibility of the services we render, to always be aligned with the current needs of our clients and the market.

Our Equipment 
up

TPS have a total of 1,006 metres of Berthing facility, in which the main facility is 740 metres long, with a maximum draught of 14.1 metres and a secondary facility is 266 metres long, with a maximum draught of 9.4 metres. 

Our accesses control the cargo access flow through the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) System, with which TPS can read container number, lorry license plate, verify its condition and keep track of the cargo and its means of transport.
